About The Position

The Store Optimization Intern will join a team at Michaels and gain hands-on experience with core responsibilities, relevant projects, and professional development opportunities. The internship is part of Michaels’ Summer Internship Program, which is designed to attract and develop future leaders. It is intended for individuals currently enrolled at an accredited college or university who are pursuing career opportunities in retail. The program runs from May 31 to August 5, 2027.

Michaels is headquartered in Irving, Texas, and operates more than 1,300 stores in 49 states and Canada, along with online stores. Its purpose is to fuel the joy of creativity and celebration.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication skills, creativity, and ability to work as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and grow.
• Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
