About The Position

Costco Digital Services is offering students enrolled in an IT or related undergraduate or graduate program a paid, 12-week internship during 2027. The program runs from mid-June to early September and is based in Issaquah, Washington. Interns work within an area of Costco’s Information Systems Division, attend presentations from IT and other company executives, and conclude the program by presenting a summary of their experience to management and peers. Interns are responsible for their own travel and accommodation; housing is not provided. Interns must work in the office five days per week, and out-of-state work is not allowed. The internship focuses on ECM Digital Workflow, which uses strategies, methods, and tools to digitize paper or manual processes and improve business processes. The intern primarily collaborates on designing and implementing solutions in Microsoft PowerApps. The role works with technical and non-technical partners across the enterprise to provide design, technical analysis, development and configuration, testing, implementation, and support expertise representing business interests. For the duration of the IT Internship program, the intern is classified as an hourly temporary employee. The intern may be asked to participate in the normal interview process for a level 1 position. If selected for a position, employment status changes to match that position; otherwise, the internship ends within a maximum of twelve weeks.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an IT or related undergraduate or graduate program at a community college, college, or university.
Currently maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational, time-management, and project-management skills, including the ability to prioritize and stay organized.
Must work in the office five days per week; out-of-state work is not allowed.
Responsible for own travel and accommodation expenses; housing is not provided.
Provide proof of authorization to work in the United States if hired; the company does not sponsor work authorization.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing in PowerApps Portals, Canvas, or Model Driven Apps.
Experience developing in Power Automate, PowerBI, and Power Pages.
Experience leading projects using Agile Methodologies.
Costco warehouse, ecommerce, or retail experience.
Proficiency in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail.

Help design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions and process flows in Power Apps in accordance with standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Help develop efficient code in various development languages for Power Apps enhancements and bug fixes.
Assess functional and nonfunctional requirements and help create designs that meet business and technical needs.
Collaborate with the Delivery Team, System Administrators, and Solution Architect to improve production deployments, platform operations, and environment stability when needed.
Support authoring and execution of test cases related to implementation of development work.
Attend presentations from executive management and present a summary of the internship experience to management and peers.
