About The Position

Universal Logistics is seeking skilled Owner/Operator Truck Drivers for its Tampa, Florida terminal. The position involves safe and timely delivery of freight on designated routes, primarily serving Orlando, Ocala, Lakeland, Alachua, Plant City, and the Tampa area. Freight includes local and regional work, ports, and rail moves. The role is home daily, involves light-touch freight, and has an average workday of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Gross pay is advertised at up to $550 per day, with drivers receiving up to 70% of linehaul. Pay weeks run Sunday through Saturday, with settlement the following Friday. There is no forced dispatch.

Universal Intermodal provides domestic door-to-door drayage to and from ports, rail ramps, and customer facilities. The company operates from 40 terminals and eight container yards and provides chassis, containers, drayage, and services for import, export, and domestic moves.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of tractor-trailer experience within the last year.
• CDL A.
• TWIC credential required to start.
• At least 21 years of age.
• DOT compliant.
• Own a 2005 or newer tractor.
• Clean driving record with a proven safe-driving history.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Pass a physical and drug screen.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Complete the Intelli-App in Tenstreet to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Safely and punctually deliver freight on designated routes.
