About The Position

The Class A or B Truck Driver is responsible for operating a commercial heavy truck on public roadways and on the construction jobsite in a safe and efficient manner. Commercial heavy trucks include Water Trucks and Tack Distributor Trucks. The Truck Driver will complete pre-trip checks, assist with fluid checks and maintenance, secure loads, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent. This position will require extended travel and work throughout Western Kansas and Eastern Colorado.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Class A or B CDL.
• Must have a Tanker Endorsement.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Certificate.
• Must have a good driving record with no major violations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to complete a pre-employment and random drug screens with “Negative” results.
• Must be able to complete a post-offer physical with a “Capable” result.

Nice To Haves

• Routinely enter and exit truck.
• Use ladder on trailer or platform to enter trailer and remove excess material.
• Chip or jackhammer concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials that have accumulated on the sides and front of trailer.

Responsibilities

• Operating commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy and FMCSA guidelines.
• Performing daily maintenance and pre-trip checks.
• Responsible for cleaning trucks and material from trailer with the use hand and power tools.
• Ensuring that the truck is secured at the end of the shift.
• Other duties as assigned.
