About The Position

Airgas National Carbonation (ANC), a specialized division of Airgas, delivers carbon dioxide to businesses including restaurants, bars, craft breweries, fast-food locations, and entertainment venues. The Bulk CO2 Driver operates a cryogenic tanker and makes roughly 10 or more deliveries per day, replenishing customers’ onsite Microbulk tanks by transferring product through a hose hookup. The role is based in Worcester, Massachusetts, with routes across the Greater New England Area within a 150-mile radius of Worcester. Trucks are modern day cabs with automatic transmissions, and the operation uses slip seating. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekend availability required, and a 5:00 AM start time. Compensation is $30.00 per hour, with overtime availability, and the posting offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Hold a Class A or Class B CDL with a Tanker endorsement and no air brake restriction.
Have no more than two traffic convictions or at-fault accidents within the last three years.
Have no driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven years.
Be able to work in a drug-free environment.
Have one year of CDL driving experience within the last five years, or a trucking-school Certificate of Completion completed within the last 12 months.
Have a Hazmat endorsement at application, or be willing to obtain it within 60 days of hire; Airgas covers the costs.

Nice To Haves

Hazmat endorsement at the time of application.
CO2 or other specialty gas experience; this is a plus but not required, and training is provided.

Responsibilities

Safely transfer bulk CO2 from the Airgas truck to customer tanks using a hose hookup.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations and company maintenance checklists.
Keep the route truck in proper, safe working order and coordinate routine or required maintenance in a timely manner.
