CDL Material Handler

About The Position

As a CDL Material Handler at CEC, you will help construction projects run smoothly by moving tools and materials among job sites and company facilities. The role also supports deliveries, inventory, organization, and safety. It is a hands-on, safety-sensitive position requiring planning, problem-solving, and attention to safety. The position is based in El Paso, Texas, with travel required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid CDL driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Forklift and DOT certifications.
Able to read and understand basic English instructions.
Comfortable with basic math, including counting and measuring.
Able to travel.
Able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required, including weekends and night shifts as needed.
Able to perform the listed physical demands and work in the described construction environments.
Able to wear personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest, at all times.
Able to work professionally and courteously in the presence of customers and their representatives.

Nice To Haves

Construction experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Deliver and pick up materials as needed.
Load and unload trucks safely.
Track inventory and assist with regular counts.
Organize and clean tools, materials, and the warehouse.
Drive company vehicles when required.
Maintain paperwork, including logs and transfer forms.
Help keep shop vehicles in good condition.
Support building and fleet maintenance when needed.
Follow safety rules and keep the workspace clean and organized.
Perform other duties as needed to support projects, operations, and the department.
