CDL Local Driver Merchandiser - Nights
About The Position
Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages is hiring a Driver Merchandiser to deliver products on local routes in the Dallas, Texas metroplex and surrounding listed communities. The role involves transporting beverages, merchandising and replenishing shelves, and representing the company to customers and shoppers. Work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 p.m. until route completion. The training schedule is Monday through Friday. The role uses a mix of bulk and RD delivery modes. Starting pay ranges from $26.02 to $31.38 per hour based on experience. Additional earning opportunities may include performance-based incentives, quarterly bonuses, and referral bonuses.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License issued by only one state or jurisdiction, with no interstate restrictions, in accordance with FMCSA guidelines; the minimum age requirement is 21.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under DOT physical qualifications and examination requirements.
- Successfully complete a driver's road test and certification, or provide an equivalent valid certificate in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Be able to repetitively lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds, reach above head height, stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach.
- Have at least one year of general work experience.
- Be able to work with minimal supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Local delivery experience and/or six months of verifiable driving experience.
- Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience.
- Applicants with a current Commercial Driver's License but less than six months of experience will be required to complete a paid driver training program.
Responsibilities
- Check the accuracy and stability of the load.
- Deliver, merchandise, display, and rotate products according to company standards.
- Communicate with company employees, customers, and shoppers.
- Settle all accounts daily by invoicing and collecting payments.
- Pick up company property and secure company assets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
