About The Position

The CDL Driver operates a commercial vehicle on allocated routes, including roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys. The role includes inspecting the vehicle before and after operation, operating vehicle controls and joystick equipment in accordance with safety procedures, maintaining vehicle readiness, completing paperwork, and providing courteous, timely service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-operation commercial vehicle checks in line with FCC regulations, verifying tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components.
• Safely operate commercial vehicles on allocated routes, including roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Manually and/or automatically operate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Engage courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure services are performed in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor vehicle status to keep it operationally ready and reduce downtime.
• Complete required paperwork and reports accurately.
• Maintain departmental productivity standards so clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.
• Follow and enforce all safety regulations and procedures.
