About The Position

The CDL Driver - Rear Load safely operates a commercial vehicle on allocated routes, including roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys. The driver completes pre- and post-operation vehicle checks, uses vehicle controls and joystick equipment in accordance with safety regulations, maintains vehicle readiness, completes paperwork accurately, and helps ensure customer services are delivered professionally and on time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-operation checks of the commercial vehicle, including checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components.
• Safely operate the commercial vehicle on allocated routes, including roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Manually and/or automatically operate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Communicate courteously with coworkers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure services are performed in a timely and professional manner.
• Continuously monitor vehicle status to maintain operational readiness and reduce downtime.
• Complete necessary paperwork and reports accurately.
• Meet departmental productivity standards to ensure clients are serviced in a timely and effective manner.
• Follow and enforce all safety regulations and procedures.
