About The Position

Triad Building Components is hiring a reliable CDL Driver for its Idaho Falls team. The role delivers metal roofing, siding, laminated wood columns, and other building materials to customers and job sites. The driver is expected to provide dependable, professional service and prioritize safe driving, equipment operation, and material handling. Drivers are home most nights, although some routes may require two to three nights away depending on delivery distance, weather, and the number of delivery stops. The work is performed year-round, with seasonal weather and road conditions taken into account.

Requirements

Current, valid CDL appropriate for the equipment operated.
Knowledge of safe operation of Moffett truck-mounted forklifts and other lifts.
Willingness to drive year-round and stay overnight as delivery routes require.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and follow-through.
Strong people skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
Commitment to safe driving, equipment operation, and material handling.
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Safely transport and deliver building materials to customer locations and job sites.
Operate Moffett truck-mounted forklifts and other lifts to load and unload materials.
Secure loads properly and follow applicable transportation and safety requirements.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and required driver records.
Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and dispatch.
Drive and make deliveries year-round, adjusting to seasonal weather and road conditions while prioritizing safety.
Assist with yard and material-handling duties as needed.
