About The Position

Associated Grocers is hiring a CDL-A Driver based out of its Bangor, Maine depot. Drivers deliver throughout all six New England states, averaging approximately 300 miles per trip and making three to four stops per day. Unloading is required at each stop, with deliveries including pallet deliveries using docks or liftgates, two-wheeler deliveries, and roller deliveries. Typical shifts are 10–11 hours, with start times between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The fleet consists of Freightliner tractors and refrigerated trailers sized 36, 45, 48, and 53 feet. The position requires flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Overtime is paid after eight hours of driving daily. Strike conditions exist.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Hold a CDL-A license without restrictions; a license without an automatic restriction is preferred.
Be DOT certified.
Have excellent customer service skills.
Have a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
Successfully complete pre-employment drug testing and a background check.
Be available for flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Complete a driving test if invited to an in-person interview; a driving record is needed.
Complete pre-employment procedures, including a background check, DOT drug screen, physical, and lift test.

At least two years of CDL-A driving experience.
