About The Position

The CDL/TMO Specialist performs limited aspects of technical supply management work, including inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization related to depot, local, or other supply activities. This role is responsible for the inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, supplies, and equipment. Additionally, the specialist handles material coordination for special programs, maintenance, or production shops, and catalogs supply channels for a specific agency or field establishment. The work is performed within established supply regulations, policies, and procedures. Contacts involve dealing with operating officials on supply needs and identifying less complex items. The specialist may also contact commercial firms for information on new items or government agencies regarding property utilization.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of material/supply functions, either in the military services or in commercial applications.
  • Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • Analytical ability to define problems, collect necessary data, establish facts, and take recommended action based upon applicable established guidelines.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of warehousing duties requiring an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
  • Verifies materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages.
  • Routes materials to prescribed storage locations.
  • Stores, stacks, or pallets materials according to prescribed methods.
  • Rearranges and takes inventory of stored materials.
  • Examines stored materials for deterioration and damage, and removes material for shipment.
  • Operates hand or power trucks for warehousing duties.
  • Performs miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, and article inspections.
  • Performs all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Enforces a safety culture and maintains a safe work environment.
  • Completes all training requirements and fulfills self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities.
  • Participates in emergency response tasks and serves on safety committees and teams.
  • Consistently provides services that meet customer expectations.
  • Carries out job activities in compliance with applicable Quality System documents and customer contracts.
  • Reads, understands, and implements general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to the job.
