About The Position
The CDL Driver & Crane Operator at SRS Building Products safely transports and delivers building materials to job sites within a 200-mile radius. The role operates commercial trucks, cranes, and forklifts, performs DOT-compliant inspections, coordinates with rooftop loaders, and maintains accurate delivery documentation. It also includes customer interaction and warehouse support to uphold service and safety standards. This physically demanding position involves routinely driving and handling materials, lifting up to 100 pounds, working outdoors in varied weather, climbing ladders and working at heights, navigating confined spaces, and tolerating high noise levels. Reasonable accommodations are available under the ADA.
Requirements
- Valid CDL driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
- Current DOT medical certificate.
- NCCCO Crane Certification: ABC/ABL certification is required.
- Proficiency in routine maintenance and safety checks.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical systems.
- Experience operating conveyor belts, knuckle booms, or crane-equipped trucks.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA safety standards.
- Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.
- Ability to conduct job site inspections and report conditions.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols.
- Clean driving record, with no hit-and-run, DWI, or DUI in the past 36 months.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 100 pounds and perform the stated physical tasks.

- Forklift certification preferred.
- Truck Crane Operation Certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Telescopic Boom - Fixed Cab Certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Boom Truck - Fixed Cab Certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Articulating Boom Crane Certification preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Safely deliver building materials to job sites within a 200-mile radius while following company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and routine safety checks.
- Operate commercial trucks, cranes, and forklifts.
- Coordinate with rooftop loaders to ensure accurate, damage-free deliveries.
- Verify inventory and document deliveries with photos.
- Assess job sites for safety risks and report site conditions.
- Interact with customers and support warehouse operations.
- Follow DOT regulations, OSHA safety standards, and company safety requirements.
