About The Position

The CDL Driver & Crane Operator at SRS Building Products safely transports and delivers building materials to job sites within a 200-mile radius. The role operates commercial trucks, cranes, and forklifts; performs DOT-compliant inspections; coordinates with rooftop loaders; and maintains accurate delivery documentation. It also includes customer interaction and warehouse support to uphold service and safety standards.

This physically demanding position involves routine driving and material handling, outdoor work in varied weather, lifting up to 100 pounds, climbing ladders and working at heights, and navigating confined spaces. Candidates must be able to safely operate commercial vehicles and cranes and tolerate high noise levels. Reasonable accommodations are available through the ADA.

Requirements

• Valid CDL driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• Current DOT medical certificate.
• NCCCO Crane Certification: ABC/ABL certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in routine vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical systems.
• Experience operating conveyor belts, knuckle booms, or crane-equipped trucks.
• Forklift operation experience; certification preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA safety standards.
• Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Ability to conduct job-site inspections and report conditions.
• Strong adherence to safety protocols.
• Clean driving record, with no hit-and-run, DWI, or DUI in the past 36 months.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 100 pounds, work outdoors in varied weather, safely operate commercial vehicles and cranes, climb ladders and work at heights, navigate confined spaces, and tolerate high noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver building materials to job sites within a 200-mile radius in accordance with company policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and routine safety checks.
• Operate trucks, cranes, and forklifts, and coordinate with rooftop loaders to ensure accurate, damage-free deliveries.
• Verify inventory and document deliveries with photos.
• Assess job sites for safety risks and report site conditions.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and comply with applicable safety regulations.
• Interact with customers and provide warehouse support as needed.
