About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a CDL Delivery Truck Driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries of building materials. The driver is responsible for delivery safety from departure from the facility through completion at each job site. The position does not require over-the-road travel, and drivers are home every night. Duties may also include warehouse work, including loading and unloading materials.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Completion of a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens is required.

Nice To Haves

• Boom truck experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each step of deliveries by taking and uploading photos using the camera phone system.
• Inspect the truck load before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where materials should be placed and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customers with an invoice after each delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials onto or off trucks or into the warehouse.
