About The Position

Requirements

• Valid Class A commercial driver’s license with appropriate endorsements.
• Current DMV printout required as part of the application process.
• Driving record must meet minimum risk-management requirements.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrate sound judgment when operating a vehicle.
• Ability to pull, twist, bend, and repeatedly lift 35 pounds to shoulder height.
• Ability to climb in and out of a tractor using proper three-point contact.
• Ability to sit for up to 11 hours per day and operate a vehicle in all weather conditions.
• Ability to talk and hear, and to stand, walk, bend, and sit throughout the workday.
• Regular and predictable attendance at an office or site location.
• Ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Safely and courteously operate a truck to deliver commercial bulk and bagged feeds.
• Perform pre-trip checks and maintain the truck in accordance with DOT and other regulatory requirements.
• Keep the truck clean, including regularly washing and cleaning its exterior and interior.
• Load and reload feed, and assist other drivers with loading as required.
• Inspect hatches, augers, and blowers to ensure they are operational and serviceable.
• Ensure feed is unloaded to the correct location or bin.
• Accurately complete scale tickets, delivery papers, driver logs, and related documentation.
• Provide courteous and safe service on customer, public-road, and company property.
