About The Position

NIS Express is seeking new CDL-A graduates for a paid training program in Winston-Salem, NC. This program offers structured, paced training with a dedicated trainer for three to five weeks, focusing on actual freight and routes from day one. Upon completion of supervised miles and evaluations, drivers will go solo. The position involves regional dry van freight east of I-35, with approximately 70% drop and hook loads. Drivers will operate 2024-2025 Freightliner or Kenworth tractors equipped with APUs and can expect to earn between $1,200 to $1,500 per week via direct deposit. Home time is offered every week or every two weeks.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 21 years of age or older
• 120 or more hours from an accredited CDL school
• Clean driving record
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and efficiently.
• Comply with ELD and hours-of-service logging regulations.
• Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch.
• Handle regional dry van freight (100% no-touch).
• Complete drop and hook loads (approximately 70%).
