About The Position

American Driver is hiring CDL A drivers in Lakeland, FL. This is a full-time W2 position with a fully paid training program for drivers who have completed their CDL school hours. The training program lasts 4-6 weeks with a dedicated mentor, covering ELD, HOS, and pre/post trip inspections. Drivers will handle live freight from day one and transition to solo driving at $0.56 CPM after completion. The job involves dry van, no-touch freight, with approximately 60% drop and hook, covering 2,200-2,500 miles per week on Eastern routes with consistent year-round freight. Dispatch is available day and night. Pay ranges from $0.56-$0.65 CPM based on experience, with weekly earnings typically between $1,200-$1,500. Additional pay is provided for stops, layovers, and breakdowns. There is a six-month pay increase and a $300 paid orientation. Drivers can expect a planned home reset every two weeks. Equipment includes assigned Freightliner or Kenworth trucks (2022-2025) with APUs on all units.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Must be age 21 or older.
• 120+ hours of instruction from an accredited truck driving school to qualify for paid training.
• No major violations in the last 3 years.
• No DUI in the last 5 years.
• Must pass urine and hair follicle drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A CDL vehicle.
