About The Position

NIS Express is looking for motivated individuals in Dothan, AL who are ready to turn their CDL into a full-time career. No road experience required – just your CDL and the drive to succeed. This role involves a comprehensive training program lasting 3 to 5 weeks with a dedicated trainer, where you will be paid throughout the entire duration. The freight type is no-touch dry van, with approximately 70% drop and hook. You will be driving late model Freightliner or Kenworth trucks (2024-2025) equipped with APUs, operating on regional routes east of I-35. Weekly pay ranges from $1,200 to $1,500, deposited via direct deposit. Drivers can expect to be home every week or every other week.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 21 years of age or older
• 120 or more hours completed at an accredited CDL school
• Clean driving record
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class A tractor-trailer in full compliance with DOT regulations
• Freight is dry van – no-touch, approximately 70% drop and hook
• Maintain on-time delivery performance
• Complete accurate ELD logs, DVIRs and trip documentation daily
• Inspect your vehicle before and after every run
• Keep communication with dispatch and customers professional at all times
• Safe operation of a Class A tractor-trailer on real routes
• Electronic logging and hours-of-service rules
• Conduct proper pre and post-trip inspections
• Dispatch communication and company procedures
