About The Position

NIS Express is hiring entry-level Class A CDL drivers in Sulphur, LA. If you have completed 120 or more hours at an accredited CDL school, you qualify for our paid one-on-one training program. No over-the-road experience required. The training program lasts 3 to 5 weeks with one trainer, and it is fully paid. The freight type is no-touch dry van, with drop and hook 70% of the time. You will be driving late model Freightliner or Kenworth trucks (2024-2025) with APUs included. The route territory is regional routes east of I-35. Weekly pay ranges from $1,200 to $1,500, paid every week via direct deposit. You will be home every week or every other week. GET PAID WHILE YOU TRAIN: You will be paired with a dedicated trainer from day one. Training covers tractor-trailer operation and road safety, ELD compliance and hours-of-service logging, pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, and company policies and dispatch procedures. You will go solo only after completing supervised miles and evaluations.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 21 years of age or older
• 120 or more hours completed at an accredited CDL school
• Clean driving record
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class A tractor-trailer in full compliance with DOT regulations
• Freight is dry van – no-touch, approximately 70% drop and hook
• Maintain on-time delivery performance
• Complete accurate ELD logs, DVIRs and trip documentation daily
• Inspect your vehicle before and after every run
• Keep communication with dispatch and customers professional at all times
