This position is for a recent CDL-A graduate in the Silver Springs, FL area. The company offers a structured, paid training program designed to get new drivers behind the wheel quickly with a dedicated trainer. The training period lasts for 3 to 5 weeks, during which drivers will run real freight on actual routes and receive ongoing evaluations. Drivers will only go solo when they are deemed ready, and they are paid throughout the entire training period. The training covers safe Class A tractor-trailer operation, ELD operation and hours-of-service compliance, pre and post-trip inspection procedures, and dispatch communication and company road procedures. Once trained, the day-to-day responsibilities include operating a Class A tractor-trailer within DOT regulations, hauling no-touch dry van freight with approximately 70% drop and hook loads, meeting delivery windows and maintaining on-time performance, keeping ELD logs and trip paperwork accurate, completing vehicle inspections, and maintaining professional communication with dispatch and customers.
