About The Position

NIS Express is seeking entry-level Class A CDL drivers in Searcy, AR. We offer a structured 3 to 5 week paid training program designed to prepare new drivers for a successful career on the road. You will be paired with a dedicated one-on-one trainer who will guide you through every step before you go solo. Training covers tractor-trailer operation, road safety, ELD compliance, hours-of-service logging, pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, and NIS Express company policies and dispatch procedures. Drivers go solo only after completing supervised miles and evaluations, ensuring a thorough preparation process.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL license required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Completion of 120 or more hours at an accredited CDL school (drivers with a valid Class A CDL and no OTR experience are also welcome to apply)
• Acceptable driving record with a focus on safety
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Transport no-touch dry van freight – approximately 70% drop and hook
• Meet delivery appointments and maintain on-time performance
• Keep accurate ELD logs, DVIRs and trip reports
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report issues immediately
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
