About The Position

American Driver is hiring recent CDL Class A graduates for our OTR fleet running east of I-35, based in Hammond, LA. We offer a paid training program with a dedicated mentor for 4-6 weeks, focusing on real routes, safety, inspections, and day-to-day operations. After training, drivers typically run 2,200–2,500 miles per week and can earn between $1,200 and $1,500 weekly. The role involves dry van freight with no-touch loads, approximately 60% drop and hook, consistent miles, and minimal downtime. Drivers can expect day and night runs based on dispatch.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
• Open to recent CDL holders.
• No major violations or at-fault accidents in the last 3 years.
• No DUI within the last 5 years.
• Must pass urine and hair follicle drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Freightliner and Kenworth tractors (2022–2025 models).
• Familiarity with equipment featuring APUs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial truck on OTR routes east of I-35.
