CDL-A Semi Local Driver – South Texas Routes + No-Touch Freight
About The Position
CDL-A Regional Driver operating a dry van within Texas, serving Houston, San Antonio, Laredo, McAllen, Brownsville, and Harlingen within an approximately 250-mile operating area. The role averages approximately 1,300 miles per week and involves no-touch freight for varied customers; it is not a dedicated account. Freight may include drop-and-hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloaded trailers. No short-haul pay is provided. The schedule is six days on and two days off, with weekly home time. Day and night shifts are available, and some holiday work is required as needed. The position follows Texas Hours of Service regulations. Average weekly pay is $1,300, with minimum daily pay of $220 and additional mileage-based performance bonus opportunities at thresholds of 1,700, 1,800, 1,900, and 2,000 miles.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
- Clean driving record; SAP drivers are not accepted.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
- Availability for a six-days-on, two-days-off schedule.
- Willingness to work some holidays as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Hazmat endorsement preferred, but not required.
