About The Position

Refrigerated freight offers higher pay and steady work throughout the year, unlike dry van freight. This position is ideal for new CDL drivers, with a structured training program and a guaranteed weekly minimum after training. Drivers will operate primarily out of the Dallas area, running lanes between Texas and Tennessee, Illinois, and Georgia, with opportunities to return home every two weeks. The role involves no-touch freight, meaning drivers do not handle the loading or unloading of the cargo.

Requirements

Class A CDL
Must be 21 years of age or older.
2 or fewer moving violations in the past 2 years.
No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years.
Must pass a DOT physical, hair drug test, and urine drug test.
New CDL graduates are welcome.

Nice To Haves

Approved adult rider allowed.
One dog under 40 lbs allowed after training.

Responsibilities

Transport refrigerated freight between Texas and Tennessee, Illinois, and Georgia, returning to Texas.
Operate a Freightliner truck, typically around 1.5 years old, with automatic or 10-speed transmission.
Adhere to appointment times for live loads and unloads.
Complete assigned routes, covering approximately 1,800–2,000 miles per week.
Maintain a safe driving record and comply with all DOT regulations.
Participate in a training program with a mentor for 200–250 hours.
Ensure timely delivery of goods, maintaining the required temperature for refrigerated cargo.

Benefits

Training pay: $300 orientation pay (paid upon hire), $850/week during mentor training.
Solo driver pay: $1,300–$1,500 average per week ($67,600–$78,000 annually).
$1,000 weekly minimum for the first 3 months after solo dispatch.
$25 per extra stop.
