New CDL Graduates - CDL-A Reefer Driver - Steady Lanes
About The Position
This refrigerated trucking role is open to new CDL graduates and experienced drivers. Drivers complete 4 to 6 weeks of on-road training with an experienced driver trainer and receive $650 per week during training. After sign-off, drivers receive their own truck and are guaranteed $1,000 per week for their first three months solo. The position hauls refrigerated freight on recurring lanes between Texas and Tennessee, Illinois, and Georgia, covering approximately 1,800 to 2,000 miles per week. Drivers are home every two weeks, depending on location. Freight work includes drop-and-hook and some live loads. Average weekly gross pay is $1,300 to $1,500, with a sliding pay scale, $25 stop pay, and a performance bonus plan.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL and be at least 21 years old.
- New drivers must have 120 or more hours from an accredited CDL school.
- Experienced drivers must have 6 months of OTR experience in the last 12 months, or 12 or more months in the past 5 years.
- Have no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years and no major preventable accidents in 5 years.
- Pass hair and urine drug testing and a DOT physical.
