CDL A Local Delivery Driver - Harriman, NY
About The Position
This is a union position for a CDL Driver responsible for unloading and delivering products to customers. The role involves pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicles, safely operating a commercial motor vehicle, and using material handling equipment like an electric pallet jack or hand truck. Responsibilities also include picking up returned products, payments, and pallets, and completing necessary paperwork. The job requires working any shift, including weekends, overtime, and holidays, with average 10-12 hour shifts and roughly 4-5 stops per delivery. Drivers will be comfortable delivering throughout the 5 boroughs and must be able to sit for extended periods, lift, and climb.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years old
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- 1 plus years of Class A commercial driving experience
- Must be able to lift products from 25 pounds to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 170 pounds
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and climb
