About The Position

Rouse Trucking is hiring experienced CDL-A flatbed drivers to move pipe, coils, building materials, and similar freight. Drivers primarily operate east of I-35, with both loaded and empty miles paid. This position offers dependable flatbed routes and steady freight movement, providing consistent work while maintaining a regular schedule for time at home. Tarping is required on approximately 3 out of 5 loads, and load securement is part of the regular work. Drivers can expect to earn between $1,700 to $1,800 per week, with an additional $30 paid on every load. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for solo drivers. Drivers are home every 7–14 days for a 34–48 hour reset. Assigned equipment includes 2020 through 2025 Peterbilt tractors with automatic and manual transmission options, and 2024 48-foot spread-axle flatbed trailers. Trucks are governed at 70 MPH and drivers can take their assigned truck home if they have a safe place to park it. Transition pay is provided during the first few weeks. One pet is allowed with no breed or weight restrictions, and cats are permitted. Drivers may also bring one passenger who is at least 10 years old, with the required liability form. Health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and vacation time are available.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years
  • Minimum of 6 months of flatbed experience
  • Tarping and load securement experience
