CDL-A Flatbed Driver
About The Position
Rouse Trucking is hiring experienced CDL-A flatbed drivers for a dependable setup offering productive miles and regularly scheduled home time. Drivers will haul coils, building materials, pipe, and similar freight, primarily operating east of I-35. This role involves hands-on responsibilities with flatbed freight, including tarping and load securement. Drivers will be paid for both loaded and empty miles and will have assigned equipment, including 2020-2025 Peterbilt tractors and 2024 flatbed trailers. Transition pay is provided during the first few weeks to help drivers acclimate to routes, scheduling, and dispatch operations.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years
- Minimum of 6 months of flatbed experience
- Tarping and load securement experience
Responsibilities
- Haul coils, building materials, pipe, and similar flatbed freight.
- Perform tarping on approximately 3 out of 5 loads.
- Ensure proper load securement.
- Operate assigned Peterbilt tractors and flatbed trailers.
- Adhere to a primary operating area generally east of I-35.
- Take trucks home when a safe parking place is available.
