About The Position

American Driver is hiring CDL A drivers in Gastonia, NC. This position offers fully paid training for 4-6 weeks with a dedicated mentor, covering ELD, HOS, and pre/post trip inspections. Drivers will handle live freight from day one and transition to solo driving at $0.56 CPM after completing the training program. The role involves dry van, no-touch freight, with approximately 60% drop and hook. Drivers can expect 2,200–2,500 miles per week on Eastern routes with consistent year-round freight. Dispatch is available for both day and night shifts.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum 120 hours of instruction from an accredited truck driving school.
• No major violations in the last 3 years.
• No DUI in the last 5 years.
• Must pass urine and hair follicle drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A CDL truck.
• Transport dry van, no-touch freight.
• Complete approximately 60% drop and hook loads.
• Drive 2,200–2,500 miles per week.
• Adhere to Eastern routes with consistent year-round freight.
• Accept day and night dispatch based on load availability.
• Participate in paid training covering ELD, HOS, and pre/post trip inspections.
• Undergo planned home resets every two weeks.
