About The Position

American Driver is looking for CDL A drivers based in Statesville, NC. This is a full-time W2 OTR position with a paid training program for drivers who are ready to get started. The training program involves being paired with an experienced mentor for 4–6 weeks, hauling real freight from the first week, and covering ELD compliance, HOS rules, inspections, and customer interaction. Drivers will receive a weekly paycheck throughout the program. After training, solo pay starts at $0.56 CPM. A typical week involves no-touch dry van freight, heavy drop and hook (around 60% of runs), 2,200–2,500 miles per week, consistent Eastern routes with minimal downtime, and a mix of day and night dispatch. Drivers can expect to earn $0.56–$0.65 CPM depending on experience, with most drivers taking home $1,200–$1,500 weekly, plus stop, layover, and breakdown pay. Pay reviews occur every six months. Orientation pay is $300, and direct deposit is provided every week. Drivers will have consistent home time every two weeks, scheduled in advance. The equipment provided includes late-model Freightliner or Kenworth trucks (2022–2025), and every unit is equipped with an APU.

Requirements

Class A CDL
Must be 21 or older
Completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school
No serious violations in the past 3 years
No DUI within the last 5 years
Pass pre-employment urine and hair follicle drug screening
