About The Position

NIS Express is hiring entry-level CDL-A drivers for a dedicated retail account covering Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. The role includes paid mentor training for 4 to 6 weeks, round-trip store runs, and weekly home time. Training pay is $680 per week for Connecticut residents. Solo drivers average $1,700 to $2,000 in weekly gross pay, with a rate of $0.85 to $0.90 per mile on roughly 2,100 miles per week, plus $75 for each delivery into the NYC boroughs. Orientation pay is $300, with travel covered. Drivers deliver to retail stores for one customer and always finish round trips at their starting point. Riders and pets are welcome after training is completed. The position involves day or night shifts and weekend and holiday work, including peak season from October through December. Health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and paid time off are available after 30 days.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid Class A CDL.
Graduate from a verifiable CDL school with at least 120 hours of training.
Have no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years.
Have no major preventable accidents in 5 years.
Have no DUI/DWI in 5 to 10 years.
Pass hair and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

Run store deliveries across Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey, including New York City.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
