About The Position

This entry-level position is with a reefer fleet operating out of an Atlanta hub, with Aiken within range. Drivers drive solo 1,900 to 2,500 miles per week and are not responsible for unloading. Home time is every two weeks. New drivers receive 4 to 6 weeks of training at $650 per week, followed by a guaranteed $1,000 per week for the first three months solo. Average weekly pay is $1,300 to $1,500, with a monthly performance bonus. Orientation is two days or less and pays $300; lodging is covered and bus fare is reimbursed. The fleet uses late-model Freightliners. Medical, dental, and vision coverage begin after 30 days. Other offerings include a 401(k), a stock purchase program, free online college for the driver and one dependent, and pets and riders after training.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Hold a valid Class A CDL.
Have completed at least 120 hours of CDL school.
Trainees are welcome. Experienced drivers must have 6 months of experience in the past 12 months or 12 months in the past 5 years.
Have no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years and no serious violations in 12 months.
Have no major preventable accidents in 5 years.
Have no DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years.
Complete hair and urine testing.
Provide 3 years of verifiable work history.
