About The Position

Drive a dedicated dry van account on regional routes throughout the Southeast and Mid South. Drivers are home every week for a 34-hour restart, typically leaving Sunday or Monday and returning Friday or Saturday. New CDL holders from the Birmingham area are welcome. The account offers consistent freight on the same account and freight type week after week. After completing 4 to 6 weeks of mentor training, drivers operate solo. Weekend and holiday work is part of the job, though Christmas is off. Both day and night shifts are available, and occasional loads may travel north into the Midwest or Mid Atlantic.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 120 hours of CDL school.
• For experienced drivers: 6 months of experience in the last 12 months or 12 months in the last 5 years.
• Military experience may be considered with a DD214.
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years and no serious violations in 12 months.
• No major preventable accidents in 5 years.
• No DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years.
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing.
• 3 years of verifiable work history.

• New CDL holders and trainees are welcome.
• Military experience may be considered with a DD214.

Responsibilities
