The CDL-A Trainee Driver operates refrigerated freight on recurring lanes between Texas and Tennessee, Illinois, and Georgia. The role begins with 4 to 6 weeks of paid mentor training, followed by solo driving on steady lanes. Drivers typically travel 1,800 to 2,000 miles most weeks, handling a mix of drop-and-hook and live loads. Home time is about every two weeks, depending on the driver's location and freight activity. The fleet uses late-model Freightliners with automatic and 10-speed transmissions. Pets and riders are allowed after training. The employer provides $300 orientation pay and covers lodging. Benefits become available after 30 days.
