CDL-A Driver - Trainee - Paid Training Program

About The Position

This is an entry-level CDL-A driving opportunity with a paid training program. Drivers receive $850 per week during 4 to 6 weeks of training with an experienced mentor. Orientation takes 2 days or less and pays $300; lodging is covered and bus fare is reimbursed. After solo dispatch, drivers receive a $1,000-per-week guarantee for their first 3 months, with average weekly pay of $1,300 to $1,500 and $25 stop pay. Refrigerated freight runs on lanes between Texas and Tennessee, Illinois, and Georgia, with steady volume and a combination of drop-and-hook and live loads. Drivers are home about every two weeks. Pets and riders are allowed after training.

Requirements

Hold a valid Class A CDL and be at least 21 years old.
Have completed at least 120 hours of CDL school.
New drivers are welcome. Experienced drivers must have 6 months of experience in the last 12 months or 12 months in the last 5 years.
Military experience may be considered with a DD214.
Have no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years and no serious violations in 12 months.
Have no major preventable accidents in 5 years and no DUI/DWI in the last 5 to 10 years.
Pass hair and urine testing.
Provide 3 years of verifiable work history.

Responsibilities

Complete 4 to 6 weeks of training with an experienced mentor.
Drive refrigerated freight on lanes between Texas and Tennessee, Illinois, and Georgia.
Handle drop-and-hook and live-load freight.
