Small Potato Trucking•Oshkosh, WI
•$1,700 - $1,750

About The Position

This local driving position serves a dedicated industrial paper-product account, delivering throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Minnesota. Drivers use automatic day-cab trucks and handle mostly preloaded freight, with a mix of drop-and-hook and live unloads; some live unloads are time-sensitive. The work also includes securing racks and carts inside trailers using E-track and unsecuring them upon return to the plant. Off-account work may be assigned when freight volume is low. The Monday–Friday schedule starts between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM, with approximately 10–12 hours per day and about 1,809 miles per week. Drivers are home every night during the workweek, and weekends are generally off. Some Saturday work may be required during peak periods and may offer extra pay. The account closes for six holidays, though additional loads may be available to drivers who want to work. Holiday pay is available to drivers willing to work the day before and after Thanksgiving and Christmas. Drivers may request those holidays off by communicating their preference to their manager soon after hire. Average annual pay is $87,000, with average weekly pay of approximately $1,700. Mileage pay is $0.71–$0.77 per mile, based on the applicable pay rate. A $150 weekly productive bonus requires working all five scheduled days and accepting all dispatches that can be completed safely and legally. The bonus is forfeited for an absence or refusal of a safe, legal dispatch within available hours of service.
