This entry-level CDL-A driving role provides 4 to 6 weeks of on-the-road training with an experienced driver trainer. Drivers earn $850 per week during training and receive their own truck after the trainer signs off. New solo drivers are guaranteed $1,000 per week for their first three months. The role hauls dry van freight along the East Coast, with loads staying on the eastern seaboard rather than traveling cross-country. Drivers are home every two weeks and run approximately 2,500 miles per week, mostly drop and hook. Average weekly gross pay is $1,200 to $1,500. Starting mileage pay is $0.55 per mile, increasing by $0.01 for each year of experience up to $0.65 per mile, plus $15 stop pay and a performance bonus plan. Orientation pay is $300, and travel to orientation is covered. Riders and pets are allowed after training is complete. The employer is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
