About The Position

Mid-Am Building Supply is hiring a dependable, safety-focused CDL Class A Delivery Driver to transport building materials to customers and branch locations. The driver completes local deliveries, provides professional customer service, and ensures products arrive safely and on time. Routes are local, with drivers home nightly. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting early in the morning and continuing until routes are complete. The role pays $30 per hour plus overtime, with estimated annual earnings of $72,000–$75,000 depending on hours worked and eligibility for quarterly safety bonuses of up to $450.

The driver operates a commercial delivery vehicle and forklift, secures and inspects loads, completes vehicle inspections and required DOT documentation, and maintains equipment in safe operating condition. The position requires compliance with company safety procedures and applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations, as well as communication with customers, dispatch, warehouse teams, and branch personnel. Additional delivery or warehouse-related duties may be assigned as needed.

Mid-Am Building Supply is a wholesale distributor of building products serving America's Heartland. It operates four warehouses and is part of ADENTRA, a North American distributor of specialty architectural building products.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• At least 3 years of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Current DOT Medical Examination Certificate.
• Ability to pass a DOT-required drug test.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Clean Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse record.
• Ability to meet applicable DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and safe load securement practices.
• Ability to accurately complete delivery paperwork, driver logs, and required documentation.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work early mornings and occasional extended hours to meet customer delivery needs.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience delivering building materials or working in the building products distribution industry.
• Forklift operating experience.
• Experience loading, securing, and unloading construction or building materials.
• Strong customer service skills and familiarity with delivery operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial delivery vehicle to transport building materials to customers and Mid-Am branch locations.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups accurately, efficiently, and on time.
• Verify materials against shipping documents, ensure delivery accuracy, and obtain required customer signatures.
• Secure and inspect loads to ensure safe transportation and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and required DOT documentation.
• Operate a forklift to assist with loading and unloading building materials.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, basic maintenance, and cleaning.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, warehouse teams, and branch personnel.
• Follow company safety procedures, participate in required safety meetings, and comply with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Assist with additional delivery or warehouse-related responsibilities as needed.
