About The Position

A. Duie Pyle is hiring an experienced, full-time Dedicated CDL-A Flatbed Truck Driver based in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The driver operates a day-cab tractor with a flatbed trailer, transporting steel beams to locations throughout Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times between 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Compensation includes $0.93 per mile, $21.65 per stop, and a guaranteed minimum of $330 per day. Pay is weekly by direct deposit on Fridays. The position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and benefits including paid vacation, PTO, annual holidays, insurance, 401(k) with company match, annual profit sharing, disability coverage, and wellness programs.

Requirements

Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
Have at least one year of recent CDL-A flatbed tractor-trailer experience.
Currently hold, or obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
Be at least 21 years old.
Have no more than three moving violations and/or accidents within the last three years, subject to review.
Communicate effectively and be able to read, write, and speak English.
Be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance.

Responsibilities

Complete deliveries to locations according to the daily manifest and pick up potential returns as needed.
Ensure the security and safety of the tractor and freight while following DOT regulations and guidelines.
Build relationships through excellent communication with customers and account managers.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
