About The Position

A. Duie Pyle is hiring an experienced, motivated, full-time Dedicated CDL-A Flatbed Truck Driver in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The driver operates a day cab tractor with a flatbed trailer carrying steel beams to locations throughout Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. Compensation includes $0.93 per mile, $21.65 per stop, and a guaranteed minimum of $330 per day. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m., and weekly pay is deposited every Friday.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• At least 1 year of recent CDL-A flatbed tractor-trailer experience.
• Currently hold, or obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• No more than three moving violations and/or accidents within the last three years, subject to review.
• Ability to communicate effectively and read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries to locations listed on the daily manifest and pick up potential returns as needed.
• Ensure the security and safety of the tractor and freight while following DOT regulations and guidelines.
• Build relationships through effective communication with customers and account managers.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
