About The Position

NIS Express is hiring CDL-A drivers in Mesquite, Texas, for a dedicated retail fleet. The role offers weekly home time for a 34-hour reset and averages about 1,600 miles per week. Drivers typically run 2 to 3 dedicated loads per week, with 2 to 6 store stops per load, delivering mostly in Texas and occasionally to Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Freight is unloaded at each store using rollers. Average weekly pay is $1,860, with top drivers earning up to $2,420. Pay includes $320 per load, mileage pay on all miles, and a safe-and-on-time bonus of up to 3% weekly. Additional pay includes $200 per day for layovers and breakdowns and $25 per backhaul pickup. Drivers complete their first three loads with an experienced mentor. Training lasts about 1 to 1.5 weeks and pays $200 per day. Drivers receive their own truck and full pay after training is complete. The position includes medical plan options, preventive care coverage, an HSA with company match, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company contribution, and paid time off that increases with years of service.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Have a valid Class A CDL from the driver's state of residence.
Have at least 3 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
Have no more than 2 moving violations and no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
Have no DUI/DWI in the past 5 years; SAP drivers are not accepted.
Pass a DOT physical and hair and urine drug testing.
Live within 100 miles of Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities

Run 2 to 3 dedicated loads per week, with 2 to 6 store stops per load.
Unload freight at each store using rollers.
Deliver primarily in Texas, with some loads to Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Keep accurate logs.
