About The Position

NIS Express is hiring new CDL-A drivers for a dedicated retail account serving New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. The role includes round-trip runs that begin and end in the same location, with home time every week. Drivers deliver retail freight to stores for one dedicated customer.

New drivers receive 4 to 6 weeks of paid training with an experienced mentor. New Jersey residents receive $650 per week during training, and solo pay begins after training. Solo drivers average $1,700 to $2,000 in weekly gross pay, based on about 2,100 miles per week at $0.85 to $0.90 per mile. Deliveries into the NYC boroughs earn an additional $75 each. Orientation pay is $300, with travel covered.

Riders and pets are allowed after training. Shifts may be days or nights, and work includes weekends and holidays during peak season.

Requirements

• Hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have graduated from a verifiable CDL school with at least 120 hours of training.
• Have no more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
• Have no major preventable accidents in the past 5 years.
• Have no DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years.
• Pass hair and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver retail freight to stores in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs.
• Follow DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules.
