About The Position

The CDJR Technician examines, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles while maintaining a positive attitude and adhering to dealership policies and applicable regulations. The role works with the shop foreman and service advisors to plan repairs, communicate service needs, provide labor estimates, and keep repair-time information current. The technician completes documentation for client repairs and helps mentor technician trainees. The position includes company and factory training, manufacturer-sponsored courses, and annual training programs, with opportunities for learning, advancement, and career growth. Compensation is based on experience and described as commensurate with Fortune 500 companies.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or 1 to 3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Operator Driver's License.
State Inspection License.
Solid technical skills and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

Examine and diagnose vehicles.
Discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor.
Communicate additional service requests to the service advisor.
Plan work in cooperation with the shop foreman.
Provide labor estimates to the service advisor.
Monitor repair time and update the service advisor.
Follow dealership policies on vehicle care and operation.
Complete the story and/or documentation for client repairs.
Assist in mentoring technician trainees.
Attend company and factory training.
Keep current with factory technical bulletins.
Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous-waste disposal requirements.
