About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is seeking part-time Catholic Substitute Teachers for a classical and Catholic classroom. This role involves approximately 13 hours per week in San Antonio, TX for the 2026-2027 academic year. While a teaching certification or formal teaching experience is not required, applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. The academy provides training on everything needed to teach, including curriculum and grading guidelines, and tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be actively living the Catholic faith, including having received all appropriate sacraments. All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching. Childcare/nursery is provided during working hours. No additional vacation days are given, though accommodations are made for sick days as needed. Tutors are expected to prepare for classes at home and teach in a highly structured environment.

Requirements

• Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Must have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
• Must complete a background check.
• Must complete RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.
• Must be available to attend one mandatory training day on August 2, 3, or 6, 2026 (TBD).
