About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is seeking a part-time Substitute Teacher for its classical and Catholic homeschool academy. This position involves teaching in a Socratic classroom setting for up to 14 hours per week on an as-needed basis during the 2026-2027 academic year. Substitutes are called when regular staff are unavailable and can decline shifts if not available. RCA provides instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Childcare/nursery is provided. No additional vacation days are given, but accommodations are made for sick days.

Requirements

• Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Must have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
• Must complete a background check.
• Must complete RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.
• Must be available to attend one mandatory training day on August 3, 4, or 10, 2026 (TBD) from 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities
