Catering Supervisor, Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite
About The Position
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a full-time Catering Supervisor to join the team at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite in Fish Camp, California. Working under the direction of the department manager, the Catering Supervisor ensures effective operations across event spaces, including training and supervising catering team members. Tenaya Lodge is a 4-diamond resort just outside the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. The property offers outdoor experiences amid trees and granite peaks and includes Waybound, a nearby collection of modern cabins and cottages with access to resort amenities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- At least six months of experience in a hotel, full-service restaurant, catering facility, or club environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and courteously in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and retain and communicate menu information and service preferences.
- Basic math skills to accurately account for cash and inventory.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for setup, service, and cleanup.
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift, including walking up and down stairs and lifting as duties demand.
Responsibilities
- Train and supervise catering team members.
- Ensure food preparation, presentation, and service meet company standards.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service and report violations.
- Answer guest questions and resolve guest complaints.
- Keep workstations, pantries, and storerooms clean and sufficiently stocked.
- Operate company vehicles to travel across the property as needed.
