About The Position

Buehler's Fresh Foods is seeking a Salaried Catering Manager for their Medina River Styx Location. This role involves direct responsibility for the store's Catering Department operations and leadership of the Catering Team. The manager will be a key member of the Food Service Leadership team, accountable for the department's profitability, and responsible for establishing, developing, training, and maintaining exceptional customer service standards among catering employees. The position requires working cooperatively with the Catering Director, Food Service Manager, and the larger Food Service Team to develop and deliver offerings that impress customers.

Requirements

Prior 2-5 years' catering experience, preferably in managing the operation as a lead or assistant manager.
Must be available to work 45+ hours per week, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Organizing custom orders and full-service events through effective communications, record keeping, checklists, and follow-through.
Aligning staffing with an emphasis on recruitment and retention to meet operational needs and optimize labor utilization.
Collaborating with local rental companies, entertainment services, photographers, and event venues.
Planning for seasonal changes, holidays, special events, and promotions, with a focus on organization and maximizing opportunities.
Proactively defining and resolving employee and customer issues.
Communicating effectively with store associates, customers, subordinates, and others.
Performing related duties as required or assigned.
Developing and delivering a variety of offerings that 'wow' customers in cooperation with the Catering Director, Food Service Manager, and the larger Food Service Team.
