About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is seeking a Catering Manager in Voorhees, New Jersey. The role manages the Catering Department, including training new associates, overseeing event setups, and directing temporary personnel. The manager ensures clients receive proper service during events and that setup, cleaning, and breakdown procedures are followed. The role also involves coordinating catering operations, working with the Chef on menus, monitoring event costs, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and associates.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of food service experience, including 1 year at the management level.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
- Catering experience is required.
- Knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as internet use.
- ServSafe Certification.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all catering events.
- Support catering-event operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and facility-related activities.
- Work with the Chef to create menus.
- Train catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
- Track and monitor labor and food costs for each event.
- Communicate with management, clients, customers, and associates, and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Assist with foodservice-related activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Train new associates, oversee event setups, and direct temporary personnel.
- Ensure proper event service, setup, cleaning, and breakdown procedures.
