About The Position

As a Catering Lead at Panera, you support catering operations by helping guests plan and select food for events, responding to their questions and requirements, and ensuring orders are delivered promptly and accurately. You provide friendly service, help create satisfying guest experiences, maintain food quality and safety standards, promote Panera Catering to local organizations, and support managers and team members. The role includes assisting with deliveries and requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Complete basic food safety training and understand and practice food safety; obtain a Food Handler’s Card when required by law.
• Enjoy working with people and have effective communication skills.
• Be self-motivated and able to meet goals with limited supervision.
• Have excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Have a personal vehicle available for deliveries and an acceptable driving record.
• Be able to safely operate a passenger motor vehicle.
• Be available for flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 25–50 pounds.
• Be able to stand and walk for up to three hours.
• Be able to communicate clearly and quickly understand guests’ and associates’ directions in a loud environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare catering orders for guests.
• Provide warm, friendly service, communicate effectively, and follow up proactively to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Assist with delivering orders to guests’ events.
• Follow health and food safety standards.
• Maintain Panera’s food-quality standards.
• Build interest in Panera’s products and services.
• Market Panera Catering to local businesses, schools, and events.
• Assist and support managers and team members as needed.
• Contribute to a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
• Represent Panera’s guiding values and behaviors by taking initiative, working as a team, learning and growing, finding solutions, celebrating success, and seeing the best in others.
